Savannah- Erin Hinson Nelson, beloved wife and best friend of Vernon Nelson died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Hospice House in Savannah, GA. Born August 5th, 1930, she was the only child of Virgil Herma Hinson and Alice Padgett Hinson. She graduated from Savannah High School and attended the University of Georgia where she sang in the A Cappella Choir, and Armstrong State College.
She is survived by her husband and her three sons, Michael Bryan Nelson (Laurie) of Decatur, Kerry Thomas Nelson (Beth) of Savannah, David Monroe Nelson (Renee) of Savannah and several grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. Burial will be private.
